IT JUST DON'T WORK ON YOU...

A week or 2 ago I blogged about the random boy in the restaurant I thought was checking me out and how I pledged to go back there. Well, yesterday (Monday) I was driving around listening to music and enjoying the weather (i.e., taking a long lunch break to get away from work), when I decided to stop in to said restaurant.

After parking my car I was walking towards the door and...he was getting out of his car. Holy Shit right? My pulse quickened as I ordered and stood waiting for my food. He was in line right behind me and I kept telling myself "Go talk to him, don't pussy out". But something about his body language made me hesitant and I didn't say a word as we stood there dumbly waiting for our food.

His order came up before mine even though I ordered first (how long does it take to make a fuckin' garden salad?). Oh well. The place was packed and he sat where he could and I did the same, but on the other side of the restaurant.

Honestly, I didn't think anything would ever result out of whatever transpired before (which was basically nothing). Still, even a nod or a hello would have made my day (although the lack of which certainly did not ruin it).

Argh, fucking Mondays! It reminds me that I've had more near misses than O'Hare has had this year (tip o' the hat Billy). Fuck it, I'll allow Muddy to express my pain:

I frequently never say anything and then kick myself after. If it's meant to be you'll see him again.

At least that's what I tell myself lol.

I agree with Jay but this time you did see him again and his body language spoke loudly. Just move on, there is another guy out there.

I have been there and done that. I kick myself but there is a reason for everything. It takes two to have a conversation.

Keep going in there until you are FORCED to talk to him over something stupid.
