THIS IS ABSURD

Perhaps I shouldn't complain too much...it's least I don't live in the Southeast. Still, it's nothing short of disgusting outside today. Don't let that little "87" floating over Chicago fool you. Just walking across the parking lot from my car to the door to my office building was enough to make me break into a sweat. According to weather.com the current humidity level is 64%, although just 2 hours ago it was a staggering 91%. Fuck the math, it's HOT AS HELL here, and not in a good way. More like in a dangerous/heat stroke/fry an egg on the sidewalk kind of way (I've always wondered it that really works). It even smells hot here, and that shit just ain't right. To all you people living on the West Coast, you can blow me (figuratively, except in the case of JR, he can blow me both figuratively and literally, haha). Ugh, did I mention it was hot?

UPDATE - When I originally typed this up I was sitting in the sweet goodness of the air conditioning in my office. Well, now I'm home in my "charming" circa 1927 non-air conditioned apartment. Currently, my place is about as charming as Boris Yeltsin after his 16th cocktail, which is to say, not at all. Sitting at my desk and the simple act of typing is making me sweat. This after I took off everything I was wearing save for my boxers (appropriate since it's National Underwear Day). The only remedy I can think of is to suck down cold beer and go see a movie, likely the Bourne Ultimatum. For some reason the thought of Matt Damon fucking some people up seems like the perfect antidote to this lack of A/C situation.

In other news, my bat-shit insane older brother has chosen to spend his birthday playing 16-inch softball in this weather. I guess I got the gay gene and he got the stupid straight boy gene. Rather than drink Gatorade or water I just know he'll thrown down a 12-pack of Sierra Nevada instead. Happy Birthday bro! I hope I don't have to pick him up from the ER tonight.

Did I mention that it was hot?

Haha. It smells hot here too. And combine that with the stench of the dirty/drunk/sick homeless people on the subway and you have quite a nasal experience.

Yeah, one of the reason's I moved from Chicago to LA. I hated our humid summers -even though it gets hot here. And with this weekends Market Days, it will make what is usually a great time to be with all those perfect boys, too much of a job. I hated going when it was so hot, getting no relief from the lake.

And how is it that a 64% humidity level still feels like 100%? Damn.
